Dr. Dieudonné Nimubona Rukundo, Founder and CEO of NIRUDI, recently conducted a detailed presentation of the V2SDF (VET to Stop Deforestation) project to the leadership team of Educa Tanzania, a non-governmental organization managing a boarding school in Tanzania. The meeting was held with Ms. Pilar Nieto (President), Ms. Josefa Ortega (Vice President), and Ms. Pilar Mena (Secretary).

The discussion focused on the integration of solar cooker technologies within the school’s boarding facilities as a sustainable solution to reduce deforestation and improve energy efficiency. The Educa Tanzania team expressed strong interest in implementing solar kitchens to enhance the students’ welfare while promoting environmental stewardship.

This collaboration highlights the vital role of vocational education and training (VET) projects like V2SDF in fostering renewable energy adoption and sustainable practices in educational institutions across Africa.
