CEFORE Rusi Builds Its First SK 14 Solar Cooker

On October 3, 2024, CEFORE Rusi achieved a significant milestone by starting the construction of its first SK 14 solar cooker using materials sourced entirely within Burundi. This marks a remarkable step in promoting local innovation and sustainability.

The SK 14 solar cooker is a powerful tool for reducing reliance on traditional cooking fuels like firewood, offering an eco-friendly and cost-effective alternative. By manufacturing the cooker from scratch, CEFORE Rusi not only demonstrates its commitment to renewable energy solutions but also paves the way for integrating this technology into the local community.

This initiative reflects the goals of the V2SDF project, which seeks to foster sustainable development through education and practical applications of green technologies. CEFORE Rusi’s work sets an inspiring example for others to follow, emphasizing the importance of local solutions to global challenges.
