On March 2, 2024, during the Bioconstruction Session at Biocultura A Coruña, Juan Bello introduced the V2SDF project in his conference titled “Cooking with Solar Ovens and Cookers: The VET To Stop Deforestation Project in Burundi.”

Bello highlighted the innovative use of solar ovens and cookers as sustainable alternatives to traditional cooking methods that rely on firewood and charcoal. He emphasized how these solutions not only combat deforestation but also improve health and reduce environmental impact in communities like those in Burundi.

The presentation underscored the importance of integrating renewable energy technologies into vocational education to drive meaningful change. Attendees left inspired by the project’s mission to promote sustainability through education and practical innovation.
