Visit to CEM Gitaba

On July 5, 2024, the V2SDF project coordinators visited the facilities of their Burundian partner, CEM Gitaba. Welcomed by Claver, the director of CEM Gitaba and an active participant in the project, the coordinators explored the center and observed its efforts in promoting sustainable practices through education.

This visit was a valuable opportunity to strengthen the partnership and gain insights into the local educational context and the unique challenges faced by the community. With Claver’s guidance, the team discussed strategies to further integrate renewable energy practices, such as solar cooking, into the curriculum. The exchange was inspiring for both sides, as it reinforced their shared commitment to fostering environmental awareness and equipping students with practical skills for a sustainable future. This collaboration at CEM Gitaba represents a significant step forward in achieving the goals of the V2SDF project.
